First time I played this game I was at Toys R Us with a friend.  First time my palm hit the bongo I was hooked on by a fishing line with this great rhythm of gameplay.  So Nintendo tried a new concept of gaming taking ideas from various games like Samba and DDR.  Finally we now have a great rhythm game from Nintendo.

Story
There is not a story mode to this since this is a rhythm game.  Your primary goal is to obtain many coins to unlock various things in the game.

Gameplay
If you have previously played Dance Dance Revolution then you will know what to do but instead of using your feet you will use your hands as you hit the bongo drums.  If your new to this then the objective is to hit the drum at the right time.  There is a circle there and once the color is inside the circle you must hit it then it will tell you if you did Great, Ok, Bad, Miss.  There are 3 levels in the game Monkey (Easy/Beginner), Chimp (Medium/Intermediate), Gorilla (Expert/Hard).  Your goal is to pass the level and you will be rewarded with coins for every time you hit your drum at the right moment.  On the top right screen shows a meter it starts off with red as you work your way up it goes pass a line that says Pass then it turns yellow and if you can keep it up you will eventually gain more coins.  Which enables you to unlock sounds, levels, mini levels, hard songs, ect.

Controls
Once you purchased the game you will be given a set of bongos with it.  The left bongo is the yellow one while the right is the red.  You will notice that they are half a color once you hit both bongos together simultaneously they will make a full circle thats pink.  Last is the blue one what Nintendo did was put in a built in microphone that it will hit the blue circle when you make a sound from clapping your hands to screaming out loud.  What makes the bongos cool is that when you hit the bongos it will not hear the sound so it won't automatically make you mess up when playing.  I found that the Drums were very sturdy so no matter how hard you slam your palm on the drum it will not maintain damage to it.

Graphics
They did not do a lot in this part since its a rhythm game.  They did a great job with the characters.  As you hit your drums you will see Donkey Kong on the upper left hitting them as well.  In the bottom you will see Diddy Kong and various other characters from the Donkey Kong Series.

Music/Sounds
Probably the most important part of the game is the music.  You will get various Nintendo themes from Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Pokemon, ect.  Also in the game you will get music from The Mighty Bosstones, Blink 182, and Queen to name a few.  The genres in this game include pop, kid songs, classical ect.  There are 30+ songs in the game so there is a variety to choose from.  The sounds in this game are great as well you can change the sounds of your bongo from car sounds, whips, dogs, and more.  You will need coins to obtain the songs.

Replay Value & Rent
Gather a group of friends with their bongos and start having your get together drum sessions.  This is an example of a great party game to play with family and friends.  If you got a silver in a song you can go back and retry to get a gold DK for that.  If you are a fan of the rhythm games then you will enjoy play this game.  This game may not be suitable for everyone due to the lack of the music genres thats in the game.  I would recommend buying this game and playing it with 3 other friends who also own the game.
