RE:CV is the first RE game and survival horror game I've ever played. Having never played a survival horror game, I thought RE:CV would be a good choice to start me off. When I first started the game, I found that the controls were quite tedious. When I wanted to go left, I went right, when I wanted to go forward, I went backwards. It was so hard to control that I simply just shut off my PS2. I thought "maybe because I'm new to all this, that's why I'm so crap at it". So days later I tried again. I slowly got the hang of it but was still a bit unsure. Five hours later, my skills haven't improved. RE:CV is not a bad game, in fact when you get used the controls, it can be quite an entertaining game, but as really the controls have really put me off the other RE games. If the game only have control options (like in Project Zero), then I would have given it a higher score. Visually, RE:CV is very good but in my opinion, they really gotta change their control system. I don't recommend this to beginners because it may frustrate the hell out of them. If you are looking for a Suvival horror game, try Project Zero, it has a great control option plus it's heaps more creepier.
