I like fighting games, but there are few that keep my interest for a long time.
Current list:
Smash Bros Melee
SoulCalibur 2 (GC Version)
and now, Sonic Battle!
So shoot me for bashing on fighting games with all the complexity. I never really got the hang of MVC2 and Capcom VS SNK. Sonic Battle's one of those fighters that's simple, but fun enough to get you coming back for more. I tried the classic Sonic Championship game (arcades only, Sega fans) back a LONG time ago. Loved it. Too bad the arcade took it out. Anyways, back to the review, Sonic Battle's like a hybrid of Smash Bros. Melee, SoulCalibur (minus the swords), and Sonic. You run around free roaming arenas kicking each other's butts into submission. The best part's where you can build your own fighter (Emerl) with your favorite character's moves. The only people who wouldn't enjoy this game are people who hate simplicity. People who MUST have complexity. Everyone else, at least try this. You won't be dissapointed, I think. 9/10
