Many people are put off by the cartoonish graphics. While it isn't the style I would have choosen for it, they do an excellent job of making it look good. The gameplay is excellent, taking the best of all the previous Zelda games.
The biggest complaint about the game is the ocean travel, which does get dull after a while. Grab the warp song as early as you can if sailing about bothers you too much.
The puzzles are excellent, the fights are fun, the world is engaging, it's a great game.
