This is the game that all turn-based world conquest that all others are based. Sure, the main elements were present in the older game empire, but the growth and development of technology was the key addition that made this game great. You really got the since that your tribe grew into a nation, then into an empire. It gave the game a solid base. My only complaint was that so few opponents could be in the game, and the lack of network play. Later versions fixed that. I can't say there is anything spectacular about the most recent version, but if you get any, and like world-conquest, this is a series for you.
