True crime is truely a crime, for Activisions inappropriate steal from Rockstar and alikes, and not even with a good grab.
True Crime has a story, one that deals with policeman Kang, who has been suspended from the force, gets a new job...

True Crime L.A. was an interesting game and really my introduction into this genre. I initially missed out on the GTA series (I kept hearing stories about beating hookers senseless for information). True Crime is by no means a game designed to...

Oh boy....here we go......
Glitchy, ugly, boring, short, mainstreamed-out cliched dialogue, positively ANNOYING geeky main character, NOTHING to do in a whole city (LA WITHOUT ANY CARS!!!! GO FIGURE!), horrible rap by no-namers,...

TCSOLA rules!! This game gives you a great sense of multiple styles of gameplay. I own the game, and believe it or not, when playing the game 9 p.m-5 a.m never went by quicker.
Pros:
-Great sense of freedom(GTA style)
-Fun...

A game that is almost the same as Grand Theft Auto, but the character you use is a chinese guy. This game is better then GTA though cause of it's realistic of the game. Such as the cars damages(hp).
Graphics:
Wonderful, simply...

True Crime: Streets of LA could be a great game. I won't compare it to Vice City because they're two different games. There is room in this world for both. I really enjoy the gameplay in true crime. It allows a lot of freedom while still...

True Crime: Streets of LA is a dubbed copy of GTA Vice City. I liked the graphics and the interactive environments. The music is exceptional. The storyline, however, is a different story. An avid gamer can probably beat the game in a couple...

What I like about this game is that it gives you more of a realistic game play, but that is the exact reason why GTAIII OR Vice City is still number one in my book. In TC you can go into a detailed shooting and fighting game play but also you are...

It's inevitable that this game will be compared to GTA: Vice City. And it's true. Making a game with so many similarities to another will do that. It's like reviewing ESPN NBA Basketball and never mentioning NBA Live. In any event, True...

Pretty disappointing.
After all the hype, I expected so much more from this game. The first thing that jarred me was how ugly this game looked. I expected something far more polished. The character animations are well-done and...

Activision called it a GTA killer, well it's not exactly true but it's the nearest thing to GTA you can find. You take role of a cop who's lost his mother when he was young. Since then he was bought up in LA and his father is...

If one was to ask what kind of game True Crime is, I wouldn't be able to tell you. Its equally distributed between fighting, shooting, and driving. While shooting to me never really gets boring, the fighting does tend to get annoying after the...

Some people think that L.A. is a terrible place to live because with all the gangs outnumbering the innocent citizens 10 to 1. But L.A. isn't that bad of a city, just the larger population equals in larger crime.
That is where...

I was very disappointed with this game i had been tricked into thinking that this game was going to a classic but it wasn't even close. The major thing about the game that i didn't like was that it saved for every little thing and it was just an...

I was very dissapointed with this game. Probably because I thought it would be a second coming of GTA. While the GTA series(after 2) had lots of freedom with tons of things to do between missions, True Crime only has repetitive "cop missions" to...

This game is simply GTA Vice City mixed with Matrix style moves and Burnout 2. It’s almost four times the size of the Getaway and is original with the highly satisfying idea of in between missions solving a variety of street crimes.
The only...

Game has a lot of positives that make it unique and not just a GTA clone. However, since the game inevitably will be compared to GTA, and people will want to know how it compares to GTA...I'll go there. I like the gun and fight modules better...

True crime can be said to be a mix of various popular PS2 titles. Take one part GTA, add a little of The Getaway, and top it off with a dash of max payne. Feeding off the familiarity of these titles True Crime boasts to be the best of both worlds,...

True Crime: Streets of LA is what the title says. An amazingly interactive crime fighter styled after the great GTA series, but which is also unique enough to stand as a very cool and addictive game on its own.
Okay, let's get...
