Prince of Persia: Sands of Time is a spectacular game with everything that everyone could want in a fighting/platformer game and more.
First, the graphics are something to really write home about. It's not completely realistic -- just the right amount so you almost believe YOU are in the game.
Fighting is spectacular! The prince has all sorts of moves and they all look flawless on the screen. I enjoyed the very first prince of persia and the fighting scenes when that game came out -- and this is a million times better. In fact, I would almost go so far to say that it looks NEARLY as good as the fighting in Soul Caliber II.
The platformer part of the game is exciting as well. Running up and along walls, swinging on bars and posts, jumping from post to post is a hoot. You'll love it.
Something that makes Sands of time unique is the flashforwards that give you little tips on what to do next. You'll have to see it to get the jest, but believe me -- it's cool.
You can also manipulate time -- like Viewtiful Joe but better. If you die you can go back in time (if you have enough sands) 15 seconds to before you died. The effects are outstanding. Like viewtiful you can slow and speed up time to aid in destroying the enemies.
The mazes will give you a challenge in areas... And they are set up in a palace setting... Just fantastic...
I give this game a 10 in any circumstance and I would urge all gamers to try and buy Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
