Day of Defeat is a great mod for the Half Life series. It is a World War 2 mod where you can either be on the Axis or Allied side. Plus, you can be a normal gunner guy, like with a pistol and such, or be a sniper and take out people with the 1942...

Ok, So Day of Defeat is an older mod title of Half Life that simulates WWII. That being said, its graphics are quite impressive and better than those of every other official Half Life Mod (meaning thos e avalible on steam).

dod, a game not as played much at cyber cafes and more at home...and ofcoz not as much played as cs. this game is not bad but has things that disturb me. the graphics are realli realli ugly, uglier than cs. shooting a gun is realistic, but hard...

Cheap to purchase - on-line shooter - Huge fun factor - no game lag on DSL - 1.6 celeron - The graphics are average - but the hours of fun will make u forget about them fast. Run and Gun - Watch the snipers!

I really wanted to like this game. I really did. After the silliness of Battlefield 1942, and after reading some of the reviews of DoD, I thought my longing for a realistic WW2 FPS would finally be relieved.
