I've been playing Everquest now for more than 3 years... not straight through, i've quit a few times for a few months at a time, but i always end up going back. Lately i've been figuring that the expansion packs for this game have been comming way to fast, like they're desperate to keep the players they have playing, and while that may be at least somewhat true, it's still not an entirely bad thing because the expansions, while being released at an amazing rate, have all been pretty good and have all added signifigantly to a game that nobody can argue is getting old now.
This particular expansion addresses one of the biggest and longest standing gripes with Everquest, camp/kill stealing. Now when you are given an adventure, the dungeon you enter is all your own. In other words, dungeons are spawned for each group, so when you enter, you're it. There are no other folks to compete with over camps or mobs to kill. The expansion of course adds new zones, new monsters and all that, but these no competition dungeons are by far the biggest draw for me. And before i go, just as an aside, if you play a necro or shadow knight and have been away from the game for awhile, you may want to log in just to check out the new skeleton pets. Pretty cool.
