This is one of the best flight sims ever for online play. Even though created for offline campaigning, it's still more fun online. The planes may not be 100% accurate but that doesn't detract from the fun.
After several years I still own and play this game. CFS remains one of the best "simulations" of fighter combat in the Western Front. Furthermore, the settings can be adjusted to simulate a more arcade-like feel for people that just want to jump...
