Cute is just written all over this game. But a tough man like me would admit it that way in the beginning. I would call stylish. But I got to admit, this is one the best games to come out this year.
One of the most definitive aspects of Wind Waker is its cel-shading. Cel-shading has been around for a long time but Wind Waker uses it so extensively that you really feel like you are in a cartoon. From the fire effects to the wind, everything in the game visually consistent compared to other cel-shaded games that still retains the rough 3D image.
Sound is also great. The music is classic Zelda and the sound of the sea is subtle yet effective.
Gameplay is also perfect. You can hack-and-slash and stuff but that would take out the fun in fighting the enemies. The you can many things in fights and finding ten ways to beat-up an enemy can be rewarding. There is a lot of strategy involved here and the thinkers out there can get a kick out it.
The only thing bad about the game is that it is too easy compared to games like Devil May Cry. And a little too short compared to previouse Zelda games. But all in all, the games pack a punch that hit everyone.
