Medieval is one of the best strategy games to come out this year. It improves upon the innovations of Shogun. It is not perfect but it is one of the finest.
The depth and strategy of the games is unmatched. Each country has its own advantages and disadvantages. They have diferent kinds of units that they can use for their advantage. Mixing up and supporting different units can win the day. The mix of turn-based with real-time strategy adds to the amazing depth of the game.
The graphics may not be the 21st century graphics that we may expect but it get the job done. You can get the epic feel of the battles with the thousands of sprites on the battlefeild.
As I have said, it may not be perfect but it is one of the finest. I just hope that the short comings of Shogun and Medieval are answered in Rome: Total War.
