Half-Life is one of the best games ever made. You are Gordon Freeman and you fight against aliens and commandos to save the world. At the beginning of the game you don't have anything but when you get an armor you can start to collect weapons and items. There's chaos in the world and you have to use your brains to survive from some places. I can't much tell about the story because I didn't care it so much. Half-Life is excellent when playing via internet. I'm sure you know someone who has Counter-Strike or Day of Defeat. Half-Life have sold millions of copies so it's really a good game.
I like to play Half-Life's mods via internet. It's awesome game and worth to buy.
