Being the only gamer in the world who never played the original Metal Gear for Playstation, I have nothing to compare this game to, literaly. There is no game that can compare to this ones level of action and entertainment. MGS2 has all the the finer points that a successful shooter needs to have. And and it's not impossible to stay in stealth like some other games I've played ( Syphon Filter 2 for example).
Solid Snake and Raiden are the two playable characters. They both have the same abilities and neither are superior to the other. Snake plays out the Tanker Chapter with Otacon to give advice and save. Raiden plays out the Plant Chapter with the Colonel to give advice and his girlfriend (with some personal issues) Rosemary saves.
The gameplay is pretty basic but the storyline is extremly well written. Hideo Kojima clearly out did himself in MGS2. The cuts scenes graphics are ok and the in-gameplay graphic are nicely done as well.
Compared to other games Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty truely exceeds any of them in every way. MGS2 is a perfect game for any gamers collection.
