Having Never played the Original Deus Ex on the PC I was very curious to see what all the fuss was about.  And Ultimately it was a Great experience.

Graphics: Well it's a mixed bag in this category.  The Graphics are not the best you'll see on the box but they are presented in an impressive way(especially the lighting effects).  However the Frame rate is suspect throughout a majority of the game.  And yes in some cases it effects the combat.

Sound: This is an area were DE2 get's alot of kudos points for.  The sound effects are well done as is the dialog.  The Characters give convincing performances throughout the game.  And the music is spot on with techno beats and various other tracks.

Gameplay: This is where DE2 really shines.  The open ended gameplay let's you choose how you want to play.  You could support the WTO faction and play the role of the Government Agent.  Or you could support the Order and play the role of the Humanitarian.  And there are other factions you'll come into contact with who will try and recruit you for their services.  Not to mention the Dozens of other side missions.  Yea this game will take you a while to complete.  Things aren't all Rose's in the DE2 camp either.  The Frame rate will effect your combat in many cases by throwing your aim off.  However this little tidbit would be alot more Hurtful to the Gameplay if the enemies didn't Stand still and or rush head first into a shower of your bullets.  Someone should've taught these guys the "duck and cover" technique.  That's not to say they aren't challenging(especially in the later levels), just not as challenging as they could've been.  Lastly the biomods which range from cloaking to CPU Haking also add alot to the Gameplay.  And the fact that you only can use specific ones at a time makes it that much more fun.

Overall: Deus Ex 2 is a Great game to enjoy over a week or two.  And the open ended gameplay and Story will definately keep you drawn in.  If you can look past the flaws Deus Ex 2 is a worthy purchase.
