What was supposed to be SEGA's answer to the Mario Party craze ends up as a horrible mess. Where Sonic Shuffle fails is in making the mini games fun. Much like Mario Party the game takes place on a board. Each player takes turns moving across the board in order to collect emeralds and rings. However, unlike Mario Party, there aren't mini games to break up moving across the board. When a mini game is activated, only one player usually participates, going against everything a party game should be. If you want a party game get an N64 or a Gamecube because no other party game comes close to Mario Party, definitely not Sonic Shuffle.
