It is a tactics rpg, some like them some don't. I do so in voting this a 10 it may seem unfair to some. In disgaea you are Laharl, son of the overlord demon. He (you dad) is now dead, and everyone wants to sit on the throne. You can make you own allies, but not in the normal tactics way, you have to make them in dark assembly. This is very creative and enjoyable. Plus there are tons of classes and monsters to add to your team. to quote the atlus guide "atlus added things to disgaea to make it from a 40 hour game, to a game you will be consumed with for 6 months."
