Though I have heard of the broken Sword series this is the first one I got to play, so I cant really compare this one to the previous versions. But I found here was a strong adventure game with solid puzzle elements. An interesting fact I found to my liking was that the puzzles were an essential part of the game, kind of like a detective story where you have to piece the clues together. Unlike certain adventure titles, the puzzles are very logical and really help in progressing the story forward. THis also makes the game very easy to play through, most the puzzles can be solved easily by just thinking a bit, so the frustration level is not as high as in such titles. The graphics are kinda cartoonish and most of the background is pre-rendered, the interface is unique in that it makes use of just 4 keys and the arrow keys, absolutely no mouse support. Though this may seem pretty awkward at first, you get used to it pretty soon. There are sufficient levels in this game to keep you busy for some time and having a neat story almost similar to the Indy Jones movies makes it more interesting. Highly recommended.
