Final Fantasy 7 is truly the best in the series. The game doesn't need any more reviews, and bless you if you actually READ all of them, but hey, my 2 cents should be here too. For those who don't know, FF7 carries the torch of being about a bunch of rebels out trying to stop the evil power-mongers from destroying the world. The unique group is composed of magic users and fighters alike, who all have abilities no one else has. They can all also be outfitted with "Materia", one of the easiest-to-use magic systems in any Final Fantasy.
The story is one of the most twisting and fun to watch, with characters moving in and out of the party and all sorts of ulterior motives. The graphics, though blocky and outdated, are some of the better on the PS1, and the game is just as fun to listen to. Finally, this game has THE most jarring and memorable scene in videogame history. I won't spoil it for the 4 or 5 people who don't know it already.
I urge all Final Fantasy fans to play this one, then check out parts 4 and 6!
