The Sims Deluxe is just about the most ideal version of this game to get. Improving on the original in several ways, this game lets you add your face (or the face or image of anything you take a picture of) onto your Sims. You can adjust their clothes, you can download tons of other objects like Pepsi machines or asian art. You can save any picture online and let them hang it on their walls. This game is a boon to customization, and an absolute must for anyone who loved the Sims.
For those who don't know, the Sims series allows you to create and manage the life or lives of little virtual people. They have realistic needs like hygeine and hunger and fun, and need to work to support themselves. They speak in their own charming little language and have personalities that are interesting to watch while they interact with others. Replay value is high due to the fact that you customize everything, from the design and items of their house to the way in which they live (and die).
Although some people have questioned why I like the game, considering it to look absolutely boring and pointless, there's something addicting about having a little community like an ant farm, whose destinies and life moments you participate in. I find it very enjoyable and easy to get into, and the Sims Deluxe is the best place to play it, short of the home versions.
