I have never played soul calibur before, i never even heard of it. But when I heard about Soul Calibur 2, my attention was caught. I played it for the first time at my friends house, it was great, smooth graphics, excellent animations, great auidio. I couldn't get off it, it is too in depth in gameplay, can keep you playing for months. I have it myself and is the game I play most out of the others. Plenty of characters, tons of gameplay makes this game a worthwhile purchase.
