This game is much harder than double Dash. You actually have to get gold on all the cups before unlocking 150cc and that is almost next to impossible. The handling of the karts is less forgiving as well.
In this game you get
- green shells to chuck at people in front or behind
- red shells that attack the person directly in front of you
- mushrooms that give you a quick speed boost
-a star that makes you invincible and if you run into someone else they suffer
-feathers that allow you to dodge shells and take shortcuts
-lightning that shrinks everyone else so you can sail past them
-bananas that can be thrown or left behind you. if anyone touches these they spin out
-NO blue shells
One great advantage is that when you press handbrake you perform a little hop that can help you dodge shells (even red ones). The tracks are amazingly imaginative even though they are in 2d. This game will have you producing four letter words without trying. However you get more mileage out of this game than MK:DD if you are determined to finish it. The gameplay is just as addictive. The only drawback being that its 2 player only. A great game which will keep you coming back for more wacky action!
