To describe this game in one word, I would have to say "massive".  The enviroments are huge, the game variety is huge, and the free-style and races are hugely fun.  Why, oh why did this game get an 81%.  It deserves at least a 90.  ATV Offroad Fury 2 (ATVOF2) is like ATV1 but magnified to the max!

Ever wonder in a free-style racing game a cool thing on the horizon like a cliff, a mountain, sea, train, you think that there is going to be some kind of force field or out of bounds and I don't blame you.  Usually there is in other games.  But in this game, you can reach the horizon, you can dive into the sea, you can collide, jump over, get on top of the train, crash into a tree, cactus, house.  You can do all of it plus much more.  There are no limits in this game.  You can litterally drive in one direction for hours until you reach an Out Of Bounds.  Now here's the next treat.  If you ever do reach an out of bounds, you can watch yourself fly 200 feet high back and crash which will drop your jaw.  The crashes are amazing and cool, as well as painful.

I remember in the PS1 times that I played Jeremy McGrath Supercross 98' and saw a forest and wanted to go through it but the game didn't let me.  I imagined a game where you can go anywhere.  In this game, you can.  See that forest over there? Go through it.  See that mountain over there? Go climb it.  See that river or sea over there? Go surf it.  The eviroments are so interactive, it's not even funny.

This game offers 5 or so different camera views.  Including, my favorite, first-person view where all you see are your hands holding the handle bars.  In first-person view, it really looks, feels, and tastes like your driving the ATV.  When there are rocks, you bump and rock, and you react to diffent enviroments.  Water splashes in your eyes, mud splashes on your face and bike, and when you do tricks, the camera
pulls back to show the trick, and pulls back to first-person when your done.  Best thing is that when you crash or fail to land, the camera stays first-person and it looks like your the one falling, flipping and rolling into water, trees, mud, train.  Wicked.

I don't know what everybody is saying about being severly penalized.  What the Hell!  You get 5 seconds to get back on track and if you fail you get instantly teleported to the crowd.  That is not severe, even though I would like it to be more free and can take any way you want.

Trick fans, you can do wicked tricks in this game.  LIke cordova, scorpion, nac-nac, and many, many others by usin the L1, circle, square, and directional pad or analog stick.  Jumps are high and long to if you learn how to reload a jump.  If you do a huge jump in first-person, you're in for a treat.  It looks like you're the one doing it.

If free-styling, free-riding, and racing gets boring (not bloody likely), there is also multiplayer racing, free-riding, plus minigames like hockey (yes, you heard me, hockey on ATVs) where you are in a hockey ring and try to score points against your friend using a huge puck.  Tag, where the person with the ball is supposed to run away from the other guys and the longer you have the ball, the more points you get.  There's also King of the Hill, and treasure hunt.

Overall, this game is awesome and offers wickedly much for so little.
I love this game and am going to play it right now.  It still didn't get boring.  The game is not worth the rental.  It's worth a buy.  Wicked.
