I've been playing the Breed demo for a long time now and although its only a beta and subject to the odd crash the game itself is very good. 
 
It also features open source scripting (txt files) meaning you can edit/change levels directly or add new hidden units like the USC Tank. 
 
You can ever take control of the Dropships and fly them about.  
 
This game will really very much be worth a buy once it hits the shelves in 2004.
