This was a fun game that me and my friends played over spring break. One of my friends had just gotten a new Gamecube and he was anxious to play his games with us. In fact he got only multiplayer games just so he could play with us. Double Kart was one of them and we had a blast with this game. I had never played the game before but I had the beginner's luck going for me. Another friend had played this kind of game on N64 and that left the owner of the Gamecube out in the cold. He couldn't win a game if he tried. I usually did fairly well. The races are great, the stuff that you can throw is amazing. The only problem I had with throwing stuff was that they rarely missed. I thought that the stuff should have missed more often. The speed mushrooms and stars made things much more interesting. Many times I would catch a speed-up at the end of a race and inch ahead for the victory. The graphics are nothing to shout about, but it is just a Gamecube. Overall if you're looking for a great game, then this is a fun multiplayer game, especially for little quick races.
