I have never been much of a fan of driving games. The only driving games I'm likely to play are NASCAR games and those not very often. But my friends convinced me to rent the game because they are big car fans. GT4 is an alright game, but I don't recommend buying it. The amount of cars and stuff to do to the cars is amazing, but all you can do is race. I realize this is a racing game, but my opinion is that this game could've benefited from an extra mode or two. Something different from driving. The graphics were ok, I would only give that a 6 because there really wasn't a whole lot of detail, except in the cars themselves. The gameplay didn't seem right either. Sometimes you would stay really close to the leader with a slower car. My friends and I couldn't figure that out. The leader is going faster than the others and making perfect turns, but the other cars are still gaining. The physics seemed alright, I could see some of the cars doing the crashes that they did at 200 mph. The sound was not great either. All you could hear were the engines and the music sounded like it came from some garage band that was formed yesterday. This was a dumb game. I really recommend renting it first and taking a good long look at it, even then. I wouldn't buy this game if it were for free, but that is just my opinion. Save yourself the trouble and get a good racing game like Need for Speed, or a NASCAR game.
