True crime is one heck of a game.  For anyone who felt that GTA's fighting and shooting were lame, your problems are solved.  True crime goes in depth with its fighting, shooting, and driving.  Although some people including myself don't particuarly find the game to be all that great at first, just beating the first episode will have you hooked.  I enjoyed playing the game so much I beat it 100% and am still playing it.  In true crime there are two main things: wandering around 240 square miles of L.A., and playing some awesome missions.

When you wander around you'll begin to find what all 240 square miles of a city are all about.  I'm not just talking about a downtown area.  I mean China Town, Korea Town, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and so much more.  If youv'e never been to L.A.  this will give you a pretty good idea of what it looks like.  While roaming around you will see some small jumps on the roads, however if you like jumps you got to look for the natural ones, because this is where this game will put all others to shame.  There are tons of steep roads and cliffs on the side of roads.

Anyways, besides jumping being a cop is the other main thing to do wile roaming around.  As a cop you get radio calls to go to a scene where someone is disobeying the law.  These different calls are for all types of crimes, ranging from someone who stole an activision video game, to someone who was reported with a dead body in the back of there truck.  There are so many different crimes I'm not even going to go into them all.

Being that your a cop you have the choice of being a good one or a bad one.  Being a good one means you don't shoot, run over, or beat inicent people to there death.  However if you do all these things you will become a bad cop and your civil unrest meter will rise.  When this happens those radio calls you once got will be for other people to get you.  These people range from angry pimps and ho's, to the swat team.  Beleive me it is no easy task escaping the swat team.

Enough said about the city.  The missions are what is going to make this game one that is never put away.  Although they don't really take that long to complete 100%, it doesn't mean that there easy.  The next mission results in whether youv'e completed the last one and upon whether your a good cop or a bad cop.  With three different endings it's going to make the mission part more than just a rental.

The missions vary.  Some you will have to fight crooks, some you'll shoot them, and some you'll be doing in your car.  However this doesn't discribe what there like.  Some hand combat missions are ones in which you can't be seen, others you actually fight one two, or even over a dozen people.  Shooting missions vary in that some are in buildings, but most are outside facing tons of people that just never seem to stop coming.  Driving missions vary greatly.  Some missions you have to try to escape from cars and helicopters shooting at you, others you have to get to places in a certain amount of time, and then there are some where you have to follow a car at a certain distance where they can't see you and to where you don't fall to far behind.

Though all these features are top notch and extremely fun to play and keep replaying the game like all others has its faults.  First off city feels like a ghost town as there arn't much in the way of pedestrians and cars.  Also the game tends to glitch.  This is about all the errors with the game.  If you can live with this, and like what youv'e read then don't wait, buy it now, you won't regret it.
