The first two missions in the game were interesting & a joy to look at. The textures seem much improved over the original Commandos. I love some of the weapon additions, such as the stone you could throw at the guard's helmet, & some of these new features made the already difficult gameplay tactics a little easier for me. But most of the other levels are mundane & their objectives are monotonous, such as always killing each soldier, with not many real ways to traverse past some live guards & then win the missions.
Despite my negative comments above, I also really enjoyed the 5th & 8th levels. In the 5th mission, there are so many Nazis inside a huge mansion perimeter. The patrols there made this level so challenging, with a great twist - they could put you into a nearby jail, which is so funny, as well as the fact that your other commandos can release your jailed comrade, as long as you don't get caught doing so! I think the 8th & last level is a tough & good, if not spectacular mission. However, some of the middle missions are boring & that could dangerously put you off from still completing the game. Unfortunately, there is no mission here where you could drive a tank (Panzer). Recommended only to the Commandos fans.
