This game is a strategy RPG set in a post apocalyptic future where humans live underground.  I found the sci-fi story to be quite interesting although not as epic as most RPG's.  The battle system in the game is fun and interesting and the graphics look great.  The big problem with this game is the SOL system.  You see, the game is made purposely to be too difficult to beat in one play through.  You are forced to restart the game from either the beginning or from your last hard save.  Hard saves are not very frequent because you need a save token to make one and there are only a few tokens in the game.  You can make soft saves whenever you want, but as soon as you load the soft save, it is erased so if you die then you can't reload your soft save.  When you choose to reload your hard save or restart the game you loose your levels and your items in your backpack.  You do get to keep your money, party experience, weapons and items you stored in your locker.
Why would Capcom make such a cheap system you ask? It's because the game is only about 16 hours long at most.  In order for you to feel like you got your money's worth, they make you restart your game over and over so it takes you more like 40 hours to do everything the game as to offer.
This game is good but not great.  Only play it if you've already beaten Final Fantasy X and X-2, Suikoden III, Xenosaga, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 and 2, Kingdom Hearts, Dark Cloud 2, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and you're still thirsty for more RPG action.
