Well, Normally, RPG's are not in my agenda of games. However, after tons of friends had played and praised this game, I realized I had to get it. My impressions so far...
Great game, it is amazing how much of the story you can be apart of. At first, I thought it was just a fluke to get you to by the game, but then after I played it I realized how much you actually can control your destiny. Right now, I am in the middle of the light and dark side.
As far as graphics go, Its not as pretty as say, fable, but its great for an MMORPG. The characters look pretty realistic, except for the faces on the In Game camera. They're kind of blurred. The cut scenes are beautiful and if you play on a big screen tv it gives it so much like a movie feel.
The controls are hard to learn, especially for a guy like me who doesn't play this genre often. You don't fight the opponent by physically controlling you character. Instead, you have an 'action' que which allows you to tell your character to do a regualr attack, flurry attack, force powers, or a grenade. On the attacks if you get a higher number thann your opponent your attack lands, same vice versa. Its really not that difficult and is actually very cool when you watch light sabers flashing across your screen.
The Sound is superb, the voices are so cool. There are all of the alien races and each have there own specific language. The Dubbing isn't terrible either. As for the special effects, its actually pretty on key. THeres one level where you are in the gunner seat of the EBon hawk and you have to shoot down 6 sith fighters following you. Its satisfying to hear the explosion after you shoot them down.
Overall, I would say buy this game now! But actually, since the 2nd one is coming out, I'd say save your money adn go buy that one, since its sure to be a hit
