Like to think? Like to strategize? Like to plan your attack? Me neither.  That's why Painkiller is our best friend.  :D

In Painkiller, you play a man who is stuck between Heaven and Hell after a deady (of course) car crash that killed him and his love, who evidently went to heaven without him.  However, you are offered the chance to get up to heaven by helping out a certain deity with a little odd job: taking on Hell.  Shouldn't be too hard, right?

Right.  Painkiller isn't the most difficult of games.  You'll find that your most basic of weapon (the painkiller) can take down just about any foe easily.  However, the weapons are more about their creative killing than their umph.

The Painkiller acts as a spinning blade to cut up fallen and standing foes and can shoot out the blade in a compact form, held by a beam of light, to impale and retract any unlucky minon.  The shotgun acts with an alternate fire that fires liquid nitrogen to freeze foes for a burst finish with the shotty.  :D And my favorite, the stake gun.  A weapon that fires large wooden stakes to pin enemies to the wall and fires gernades to take out large packs.  There are other weapons, but I wont spoil them for you.

The game is good to relieve stress, not to think.  Every section of a level is cleared by killing everything that moves.  No puzzles.  Just killin'.  Each relm ends with a massive boss battle of great proportions until you end up fighting the head honcho himself: Lucifer.  Eep.

The game is multiplayer online, so you'll have something to do after the game is over.  However, you'll find yourself playing over and over because of the creative weapons combined with the havok 2.0 engine (mui rag doll physics).

Get it if you have a computer with a Radeon 9200 video card or greater.
