Very simply, this game is hard. Very hard. Break your disc, kill your family, start a fire over the difficulty hard.
You play an amnesia paitent, or at the very least you can't remember anything. You are suddenly thrown into a military attack on the complex you're being held at.
But enough about that, you're here to hear about the gameplay. You've undoubtedly heard about it, about the POV of Breakdown. It's COMPLETELY first person. If you shake, your screen shakes just as you would if you were actually there. This is a great innovation and it's great to move a bit when doing even the slightest action, but in a fight, oh man, will you hate it. When you get knocked down, your view goes all cock eyed, you don't know where you are, and you will hate it. Trust me, when you're being beaten down, you will hate it. This is what makes the game hard. The T'lan warriors.
T'Lan are super human experiements gone angry and are invulnerable to bullets and fear. They will knock you down if you are not blocking. Which brings me to my next point: the controls.
The controls are relitivly fine. R to right hit, L to left hit, blah blah. But block is clicking in on the left stick, which is very nerve racking to do when you want to move and block or even block quickly. Jump has been moved to the Black button, when it would have been perfect for A, but alas, fault has to come somewhere.
Overall, I'm sure this game has a great story, as I have heard, but I can't bring myself to even play another minute of this game. Fighting is fun, and the POV is worth a smirk or two, but after that the game just has no room for error so it loses all its fun factor.
