Brain Age is the answer to that problem of your brain farting out over your summer break between school years. It's fun, fast paced, and it's good for you! It's the orange of video games.
Brain Age seeks to see just how old your brain is. The prime age, apparently, is 20 years old. Most will probably come into the game with 70+ years to their mushy skull filler, but that's alright. Brain Age hopes to lower your age...apparently.
Brain Age really isn't so much a game as it is a learning tool. It's not a game you pick up and play for hours on end and devote whole weekends to beat it. It doesn't work that way. It's more of something you do between games or other activities.
Brain Age offers many fun activities to go through, most of which will make you look like an idiot when you are sitting in public screaming "BLUE!!!" over and over again or reading out loud a passage from Dracula. Why would you be screaming out said color you wonder? Well, some of the games have you use the mic to do your "oral" tests with. However, the tech is not perfect, so although you might say the right word over and over again, it will not always pick on that.
Another similar flaw is that it doesn't understand that not everyone has perfect handwriting. For the portions that have you write down an answer, such as "SNOW", you will find that it decides you wrote "YuTnn" in that sloppy handwriting of yours, probably just caused from writing on the slick surface of the DS screen.
These faults alone will probably up your brain age more than it is, but who cares? You will still have fun doing it when you laugh along with your friends when they are screaming "ORANGE" just to mess you up for kicks and giggles.
