The basic premise of call of duty is that the wars are not fought by one man. Using this idea the developers Idfinity ward has great AI expectaions to live up to. Fourtunetly for gamers theese demands are met. The battles are intense cinematic shooting sprees. The atmospere in this game is truley wonderfull. It's an intense action thrill ride that grips you. There once the single player kicks the bucket the multiplayer kicks in and does a great job ading many hours of vast replay value. Throughout the Cinematic single player and intense multiplayer Call of Duty has a great graphics engine. It uses a greatly modified quake 3 graphics engine. The characters all look great and so do the buildings. When you get up close you can notice some small things but it's nothing to get picky over. The best thing about Call of Duty is the sound. The guns sound so real you'd think you were there in france during the second world war. This game is authentic in presentaion wonderful in design and execution.
Some critisisms that could e leveled at this game are it' to short and too linear. There is no story. The weapons aren't very original yet despite these flaws call of duty still stands strong.
The verdict: A fun run through wwll with very good level design and tense gameplay
