Crimson Skies is a beautiful, definately for a home console, flight game. It's not so much a flight simulator as it is an action game, taking place in a 3D realm. I'm used to flying games like Ace Combat for PS where you can fly upside-down and pull some serious militar-esque maneuvers. In Crimson skies your planes will automatically right themselves with the horizon and will offer no resistence to any crazed flight patterns. This is'nt the exacting detail of flight mechanics you'd often find on your PC; this game is just for fun on your xbox.
The storyline is superb, with the "rajun cajun's" to the "nation of hollywood" you'll mount turret guns, fly many different planes in defence of your zepplin, fight giant spider robots and race your own time through canyons. The world's are immense, though still leaving you wanting more. The art design is fantastic, little tailspin mixed with art deco design and Indiana Jones character types.
I've been told this game really shines on xbox live, though I don't have it so I can't say. But I'd believe that if the game designers put as much into the multiplayer as they did the single; than this is a game everyone should own.
