A truly wonderful concept that got out of control and turned into a monster, Dragon Booster tempts but then frustrates.
Great graphics, sound and animation are all wasted since you can't possibly play it unless you have three hands and are ambidextrous. Left handed? Don't even waste your time trying. Right handed, and VERY PATIENT you might be able to make it work. But i doubt it. You use the d-pad to steer the dragon, but to jump over obstacles you have to TAP THE dragon on the playing screen. I can't see through my stylus and hand so holdinh your hand over the screen while playing a 3D game is problematic. You magna-boost power-ups and other riders by tapping them. You will be tapping like a madman while trying to see the track and steer. The buttons are assigned powers but you have to hit a button on the touch screen to adjust speed too. It is impossible.
I would pay to see one of the playtesters making this control system work... if even they can. Konami laid a real egg on this one. I GAVE mine away and went back to the excellent Ford Racing 3, Battles of Prince of Persia and XBOX360.
