True crime is truely a crime, for Activisions inappropriate steal from Rockstar and alikes, and not even with a good grab.

True Crime has a story, one that deals with policeman Kang, who has been suspended from the force, gets a new job at a suspect division where he has to take some russian/chinese mafia-guys out of business. Did I mention that Kangs father had a bad reputation and worked on the same case before he was killed?
Ok, the story is filled with clichés just like every Hollywood action-cop-movie and just like every one of the genre of freeroaming games that has been put on the gamestores shelves.
The thing about True Crimes is that it´s just dull and boring.

To drive around in L.A is even more boring and lifeless than London were in Getaway. It´s just no fun in exploring citystreets. In that way Rockstar is miles ahead with their non-reality-town that have joy of exploring and humour among the pedestrians.
Another thing is the controls. They stink! Activision has put in different modes and none is functional. The shooting is pure frustration, the combat mode is only smashing the buttons and the driving is, well that´s the least bad.

The missions are no better. There are driving missions, combats, shooting and the horrible sneaking missions and they´re all lousy. In my opinion even a game like Mafia, that I thought was a disappointment, still is a better game than this. Heck, SCEA´s Getaway seems like a great game on comparison... Rockstars GTA-serie plays in a different league and can´t be compared to this crap, I say.

I hated this game and I´m a fan of this type of games! That should give you an idea.
