Killzone, a Halo-killer?

I wouldnīt know because I have only played a couple of minutes of Halo and canīt say anything about that.
But I can tell you that Killzone is a really, really good game!

The developers Guerilla under the flag of Sony, has made a first-person-shooter, that rocks! The story is set on a planet called Vektra thatīs very similar to Earth. Some bad colonizators named Helghast wants to take over by warfare, and they resembles a lot of nazi-germany. The Helghast soldiers are mean-looking, orange-eyed badasses that you donīt want to cuddle with!
You are an ISA-soldier that, as the story progresses, gets your own little team made out by three different characters. The group-dynamic is quite fun and adds a level to the story.

As a sci-fi-guy I love this game. It has some futuristic weapons, beautiful surroundings and amazing scenes (the first dropship-hoovering is superb).
The graphics are splendid, I resently played Call of Duty 3 and even if Killzone was made in 2004, itīs just as good.
The music and sound as well, compared to CoD or other WWII-games itīs just as good with big symphony orchestra scores.

You may notice that I compare Killzone with FPS from the second world war a lot, it reminds me plenty of them, but with the extra dimension of the future. Itīs more Medal of Honor than Doom, mainly because of the humanoid enemies and not mutated aliens. Another thing that I find to be one of Killzones strenghs is the gamelevel-designs.
The wide levels feels open even if they are linear and the changes between closed-in quarters with low ceiling and djungles, beaches and buildings with skies makes it variated and fun.

This is the best FPS for the PS2 that Iīve played and one of the best games overall in my opinion! Wonder if Halo is this good?
