I remember seeing this in a resale shop for $5 back in 1996, so I thought, "okay, I'll finally give this a go. I have every other FF title out there, so why not have 'em all?"
I'll tell you why. Unless you're a collector of all the Final Fantasy games (or at least, all the games that have 'Final Fantasy' just slapped onto the title, ahem, FF Legend), do not come anywhere near this piece of trash in convenient cartridge form. It's bad. It's REALLY bad. I was doing okay with the game until I got to the first battle scene, which featured animations far below what the SNES was capable of, as well as a horribly obnoxious sound effect every time you used your sword, not to mention the snore-ific combat. My skin's crawling just remembering that. You see, I believe this was Square's attempt at the youth RPG market, and I think they confused "youth" with "idiot," and thus produced this idiotic RPG.
This game features an atrociously simplistic story, insultingly bad (even by SNES standards) animations and graphics, grating sound and music, and absolutely no compelling reason to play through it.
Yes, it can complete your Final Fantasy game set, but that's about all it will do.
