Max Payne I was the first and only game I ever played from beginning to end in one straight shot. I remember installing it on my brand new then powerfull laptop in my bed, telling myself I would give it a shot for one or two scenario and the go to sleep. 6 O'clock in the morning I was still trying to get that damn helicopter down of the last chapter.
So when The fall of Max Payne got out, I told my girlfriend she should go to her mother's place that night cause I would probably play all night again for old time sake.
We're 2 months after I installed the game and I've not finished the second chapter and the only reason it's still in my hard drive it's because no other good game are out in the last month. (I can keep to many game on my hard drive cause my Then powerfull laptop is not so powerfull anymore)
It's the same whole thing over and over again. You know it's like playing your atari games today. You remember loving it so much but then, playing it today is somewhat dull.
The graphics are great. The general feel is still bang on but you get a sense of repetition, not only within the game but from the first one. It's the same old environement and the enemies all look the same to me. Sure the AI is way much better and the way you can manipulate everything in the environement is great.
But the story is getting tendious and repetitive and the then so cool bullet time, is not so cool anymore.
Still I gave it a 7 cause someone who didn't play the first game might find it very cool and because the graphics are so great.
By the way. Stop complaining about the lenght of the game. Sure it's short but I'm not alone anymore. I've a wife and a good work. I can't play a whole night anymore. So short game is not that bad. Plus you get a lot of Mods out there to extend the life of this game.
