I thought this was a pretty decent game. I'm not a D&D fan, but leveling up my characters in BG was fun. Sure, the game was a little repetitive, but it kept me wanting to continue. The story was pretty interesting, albeit very short. In fact, the length of this game is its biggest shortcoming - an average gamer can beat the entire campaign in less than 10 hours. It does offer some replay level if you want to go back and beat the game on harder difficulty levels, including an extreme difficulty if you beat the Gauntlet, a 15 minute romp with a massive onslaught of enemies. I got frustrated and gave up on the Gauntlet after a couple tries. Unless there's some trick strategy I don't know about, it’s pretty tough.
Bottom line, this is a great game, dragged down by its short length. Rent it for the weekend and you should be able to play through all that it has to offer.
