I've been a fan of the THPS franchise since its debut way back on the PS1 and every game was awesome, uncluding THUG. At first, I didn't like the idea you couldn't play as a pro skater such as Hawk, Muska, Margera, etc. But the minute I started playing the game, all my doubts went out the window.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is amazing, because you can do more than just skate, I mean you can race a car, get off your board at any time, and alot of other things. I also like the new way you can upgrade stats by doing certain tricks, and the higher your rank goes (Amatuer, Pro) the more options appear on your stat list.
Sound:
The Tony Hawk games have also been know for their soundtracks, and THUG doesn't dissapoint at all. 72 tracks of music by artits like NOFX, Kiss, and Queens of the Stone Age.
Graphics:
As with the PS2 Tony Hawk games, the graphics are top notch.
Lasting Appeal:
On the easiest mode, you could probably beat THUG in about 2-3 hours, but if you try to get all the gaps, max stats, and get ALL the secrets, it may take 6-7 hours on easy.
Tony Hawk Underground may be the best game in the series so far. It is great for newcomers and veterans of the series.
