This game for the most part represents everything that is good about the gameboy advance. It utilizes the systems minimal sound system nicely while possessing simple yet satisfying graphics.
The game's basic plot revolves around the protagonist, Eliwood's, search for his father, while unraveling a dark conspiracy inolving a group of assassins trying to revive dragons. The plot develops well and as a player I found myself growing attached to many of the characters in my party. As for gameplay there is a small learning curve especially if players have never tried a tactical game. However the first 10 battles serve as a sort of tutorial so it's quite easy to get the hang of gameplay. As for difficulty, the levels progress from very easy in the early stages to nearly impossible by the 2 hour long final battle. The only real downside to the game is large amount of time one will spend on menu screens throughout the course of the game.
All in all Fire Emblem is a terriffic game with only a few insignificant flaws. Definitely a must have for any Gameboy Advance owner.
