Ok, I just finished this game and found myself saddened by the event. The game was painfully short, which keeps it from getting a perfect score, but what was there can only be described as quality gameplay. More on that later. This game is first and foremost an adventure game with a collectable side quest thrown in for good measure. You play the role of Jade, orphan and caretaker of other children orphaned in the war against the Domz. Along with your Uncle/Guardian you fight to protect your charges and eventually the world from the agressions between the Domz and the military faction called the Alpha Sections. Along the way you make new friends, discover a conspiracy, race your hovercraft, play a great mini-game against a shark and take pictures. Its the taking pictures part of the game that I found most enjoyable. In order to earn money, Jade must photograph every single creature that still inhabits the planet. This makes for some interesting puzzles when trying to photograph the more elusive creatures.
The game is very forgiving, if you die you restart fairly close to your stopping point. This makes this game great for the younger players. As I mentioned earlier, the game is very short, I completed it in about 8 hours, but I didn't complete it at 100%. Unfortunately, I don't think going back for 100% completion will take much longer, since I'm fairly close to 100%.
But still, I loved this game and what's not to love, the gorgeous graphics (HDTV), excellent use of the surround sound and a wonderfully entertaining story and premise, all factor into this great game.
