The reason I wanted to get a GameCube was not because of Mario or Zelda or even Metroid games but because of this game Rouge Squadron II. The reason I wanted this game so much because the first Rogue Squadron (N64; Reviewed: 91%) had shown promise for a squeal on the next generation console to be an excellent game. This is the first game I got on my GameCube and I sure am glad I got it. It is a fantastic game. Everything was like I expected it to be if not better. To this day I own the game and play it here and there. The gameplay has been improved and it's been improved to almost perfection. Everything about this game, gameplay wise, is just awesome. However there was one thing missing, co-op! The co-op feature would make this game perfect. I am really proud what Factor 5 did with this game, gameplay wise. Missing the co-op feature is a down but everything else is just put together very nicely. The environments, missions, spaceships, along with everything else was just very well designed, graphically and gameplay wise. The storyline is excellent, but if you ask me all Star Wars games bad or good have excellent storylines. This game doesn't have my favorite Star Wars storyline, but it is great. The replay value is great! I mean beat the game then play against your friend in dogfights all day, sounds good? Well not really, it could be better like I said with a co-op feature… The graphics are great all around, except one continuous glitch that kept happening over and over. When in a snow-speeder and you are trying to tie a tow cable around the legs of an AT-AT, the graphics do glitch. That feature has not been fixed yet, but everything else graphically, is on point. This game is almost perfect; it only lacks a co-op feature and has one graphical glitch. Now that is not bad for a game that I have been waiting to play for a while. This is an awesome game and I recommend it to you even you are Star Wars fan, Nintendo fan, or just like to play a good game once in a while; this is the game for you! It is a must have to all GC owners!
