This is a very good fighting game, but is it better then Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance or Dead or Alive 3? Basically it goes like this, MK: DA has a very good replay value & pretty good gameplay with all right graphics, DOA3 has a low replay value & excellent game with very good graphics, and then there is this game Soul Calibur II which has a high replay value (MK:DA has a longer one) & pretty good gameplay kind of like MK:DA but with its own style, I really can not pick between the two games, but this game has better graphic then MK:DA. So it seems, like DOA3 is the better game (Reviewed at 81/100). However, for the GameCube we can only compare this game with MK:DA and they are both great games and it is all about taste. I personally like this game more, then MK:DA but let me break it down for you. The sound effects in both games are about the same and they are both great. I think though that the Soul Calibur II has better sound effects. The graphics are better in Soul Calibur then MK:DA. The graphic engine is very good especially on the GameCube. The storyline of this fighting game is pretty original. It could use a bit flavor. MK:DA does have the better storyline. The replay value is lower then MK:DA but it is still a good replay value for a fighting game. I played it for a long time and did not get bored and would play it on the next generation of games, because the game is so entertaining but technically MK: DA does have more stuff to do but once you do it you are done. With this game you just keep playing. The gameplay it self is very good. It offers everything that a fighting game should offer. I am really happy that I picked up this great game and I think that you should do the same, especially with the low price that it is. It still worth 49.99$ and now days you can get it for 20$ or else and I am telling you guys it is really a great deal., I highly recommend that you give this game a chance.
