This, the original WarCraft, is what had started Blizzards RTS game legendry. I played both StarCraft and WarCraft II (both with expansion pack) before I decided to give this game a try. I wanted to see where Blizzard Entertainment started off at before it made it 2 finest RTS game that are even now today played on Battle.net. I did not like this game too much but I must admit this was a great start for Blizzard. I mean I see easily how them cam up with WarCraft II out of this game. The reason I do not like this game too much is because you can only select four units at a time. Other then that this is a great DOS RTS game. For a DOS game Blizzard did a good job compared to other DOS games that I have played. Certainly this game is on of the better DOS games. The storyline is fantastic total gives gamers who played WarCraft II clue of how it all happened. I was amazed by the storyline. Blizzard is own for having a game's storyline be written to perfection. Though, the only reason why I can see anyone going back to this old game is because it would have to do with the fact that they would like to know the storyline. SO the maximum you will play this game is 2 times. However, for a DOS game that is not that bad. The graphics are pretty good DOS graphics however if you played too many new generation computer gaming you might be saying wow this graphics bite. But remember for this period of time this was state of the art graphics, amazed how graphics evolved over the last years. The game also has great DOS sound effects, nothing fancy but they are pretty neat. This is a great game and I may of went to harsh on the game's score but this is a great DOS game for a back in the day game. I recommend it to you only if you are interested in the WarCraft storyline other wise look else where for an RTS game.
