Age of Empire is one of the best RTS games that I have played. This is the first game I got with my very first PC and that was way back when in 1997ish and I must say that I loved playing this game none stop. I mean even today I tend to turn it on and play someone online. I mean this game is very well made. The reason this game amazed me so much has got to be the graphics. The graphics are on point I mean these graphics I would consider perfect for a 1999 PC RTS game. I mean they are really good. I giving this game a perfect score on graphics because this game, for it's time, really did it I mean superb graphics for a 1997 game. The sound effects were great; I mean they too were just simply on point. Ensemble Studios did really good with the graphics and sound effects. Now the music goes well along with the game, I mean really well. The gameplay is solid! This is what RTS game area all about. There are lots of units, environment, civilizations, building; you name it this game has it. The single player is worth getting this game alone. But the multiplayer is two times better which makes this a must have game. The replay value is great! I have played this game since 1997 till today and that is a good replay value for the game. As far as the storyline goes well it is very and I do mean very historically accurate. I am really amazed with the detail of each mission and campaign. I mean really happy with this RTS game and basically, this is a very good RTS game for the PC. If you play RTS games of today, then you have got to get this game out and see where almost every RTS game of today comes from. I highly recommend it to RTS gamers.
