After many hours of playing GTA III and Vice City on the PC, Xbox, PS2, and a couple of hours of GTA II on the PC. I have concluded that GTA is a very good series and has improved dramatically over each expansion. This game is a good game however, unlike GTA III, Vice City, or even GTA II the game did not entertain me. Don't get me wrong this game did expanded and make the GTA world better and more entertaining, but there is something with the game that just made me not wasn't to play it. Basically, when GTA II came out I was like "hey this is pretty cool", GTA III came out and I went "wow this has got to be one of biggest improvements in a game…. I am really amazed with the game…. Truly and excellent game…", then came Vice City "now this is awesome… however… the environment wasn't as good as GTA III's environment but a great addition for the series", finally this game came out and I am like "wow what a disappointments to the GTA series…" The main problem for me was with the storyline, graphics, and the sound effects. Now the sound effects, which were excellent in all previous versions, have decreased for me. The soundtrack was pretty cool but contained no songs that I would listen to. The dialogue the characters use is horrible. I mean I don't mind profanity but when it is used word after word that is so not cool. I understand you can have some profanity but not to the point where is it repetitive over and over none stop. So that was a major disappointment to me. Moving on to the graphics. Now, the graphics for GTA game on the PS2 were not the best compared to other versions but they are not that bad. GTA III and Vice City had great graphics and minor glitches and flaws. In San Andreas, I don't know if it is me or what but these graphics are worthless, They were blurry most of the time and had a lot more glitches and flaws then I could imagine. As far as the gameplay goes, all I have to say is I am amazed! This is a showing of a game with excellent gameplay, it just doesn't have the sound effects and graphics that it should. I was really amazed with the new features add that have expanded the GTA universe. I mean gameplay wise this game is a masterpiece; I wish it had the sound effects and graphics to back it up. The storyline was another downside for the game. I mean it was as good as the storyline of all previous GTA games, and I was expecting it to be a little bit better. Mainly I enjoy previous GTA games' storylines because it was deep and well written and had to do with triads, mafia, and gangs. This game focuses mainly on the gangs, which was not my idea for a good storyline. Well, with everything I said thus far, makes the replay value for me to be pretty low. Maybe I will try this game on Xbox or PC and it would be better, slightly. However, the PS2 version is not what it could have been in my opinion. I recommend you get another version of this game I hear it is graphically and audio wise better. I didn't not get my 50$ worth of entertainment and I am really disappointed; I hope that the other versions will be better.
