I have been waiting for a game like Silent Storm for quite a while. Ever since the days of XCOM, I was itching to put together a hardcore, crazy band of soldiers customized and loyal to my every command. While playing this game, you realize several things.
1.First, the graphics are amazing. There is incredible detail put into each bullet hole and the German cry of agony is amazing. The sheer number of different weapons lets you personalize your character. If you want a stealthy assasin type, bump up his/her stealth skills, arm him with throwing knives and cutthroat weapons, and let him rack up the kills.
2. The adjustable camera angles really enhance the gameplay. At one angle you might now see the enemy as clearly. If you spin around the camera up and to the left, you know exactly the path you need to kill him.
3. You develop a sense of attachment with you soldiers. You have certain characters you depend on to do certain things. If there is an enemy hidden away in the bushes, you know you can rely on your best sniper to aim up, and take him out with no problem.
Cons, I don't like the fact you have to wait a long time for the computer to move. I would have liked to see a random mission generator like xcom. Multiplayer would have been cool. Finding that last enemy takes a long time.
